Respite

Being a foster parent can at times be overwhelming, and just like any parent, sometimes they need breaks. Respite providers provide much-needed relief and assistance to foster parents by caring for foster children for a few hours or a few days. Interested respite providers are required to complete several trainings and a background check to become eligible to provide respite care.

For more information on the requirements and trainings for respite providers, please contact the Program Director at your local Giocosa branch.
